Terms & Conditions
The following document outlines the terms and conditions that are contractually agreed upon between the customer and Oreilly Motor School. Unless written confirmation is agreed, these terms and conditions will apply.
Bookings and Payments
All bookings will require a €100.00 deposit. Your place on the course will only be secure once this deposit has been paid. The €100 deposit is to secure your place in the classroom/IBT course. If you are a ‘no show’ on the day and have not made contact with us prior to this, you will lose that deposit. The deposit can be paid over the phone or via our website: oreillymotorschool.com. You will receive confirmation that the deposit has been received, and a receipt will be sent to you along with all necessary information about dates, times of the course, and what is supplied and required.
The full amount of the payment must be paid on the first day of the course either by cash or card.
Cancellation and Refunds
If for any reason you need to cancel your appointment, we ask for at least 48 hours’ notice in advance. We can then reschedule for another date with you. Please note, if you do not turn up for the course or provide notice in sufficient time, your deposit is non-refundable. Please also note that we can only allow up to one rescheduling. If you need to reschedule more than once, this will result in the loss of any money paid towards the course.
Any cancellation of your IBT will incur a fee of €25. No refund will be given if no notice is provided less than 7 days prior to the course.
Important Notice – Please note, if you arrive on the day of your scheduled course and your learner permit is not in date, not valid, or does not have the category you wish to go for on your permit, you will not be able to take part in the course and your deposit will become void. You must have your learner permit in hand; a picture will not be sufficient. You will have to re-book with a new deposit amount.
Safety and Instruction
Throughout the duration of the course, students must listen to the instructor and follow all instructions given to maintain safety during the course. If during the course a customer does not comply with these rules, they may be asked to remove themselves from the course if their behaviour is not suitable (this includes dangerous behaviour that puts themselves and others at risk). The safety of everyone within the course is paramount.
Liability
Oreilly Motor School shall not be liable under any circumstances for any loss, damage, costs, or expenses suffered or incurred by the customer (whether direct, indirect, or consequential) arising from, or in any way connected with, any course or its failure to provide or deliver the course or any part of the course. For the avoidance of doubt, Oreilly Motor School does not exclude liability for death or personal injury arising from its own negligence.
Important Notice
If at any time during the course you feel unsure about any aspects of the control of the motorcycle, please bring this to the attention of the instructor. The student is the only one that controls the motorcycle during the course. When you are being shown how to ride a motorcycle, it is not like a car lesson as the instructor does not have the luxury of dual controls. It is very important that as the student, you understand the dangers of losing control, and it’s equally important that you can keep control of the motorcycle. If the student is feeling tired, cold, hot, or unwell, you must inform the instructor.
